B. Pharm Programme Outcomes (POs)

PO1: Pharmaceutical Knowledge

Graduates will possess and apply a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy, including chemical synthesis, evaluation, pharmaceutical technologies, pharmacology, and the formulation and development of pharmaceuticals. They will demonstrate knowledge of biomedical sciences, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences, as well as manufacturing practices.

PO2: Problem Analysis

Graduates will be able to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems within the pharmaceutical domain. They will use scientific inquiry, analytical, and critical thinking skills to interpret data from formulation development, quality control, and quality assurance to find effective solutions.

PO3: Research and Development

Graduates will be able to conduct investigations of complex problems by applying research-based knowledge and methods, including experimental design, data analysis, and synthesis, to reach valid and defensible conclusions. They will exhibit a passion for discovery and innovation.

PO4: Modern Tool Usage

Graduates will be able to select, create, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern IT and computing tools relevant to pharmacology and chemistry. They will also understand the limitations of these tools and maintain a practical knowledge of standard operating procedures and safety aspects.

PO5: Professional Competence

Graduates will possess the necessary skills and technical competence to be readily employable in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare sector. They will be able to handle diverse responsibilities, manage projects, and communicate the value of their professional roles to society.

PO6: Environment and Sustainability

Graduates will understand the impact of pharmaceutical solutions on societal and environmental contexts. They will promote ecofriendly pharmaceutical operations and services, and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable development to maintain public and environmental health.

PO7: Pharmaceutical Ethics

Graduates will apply ethical principles and commit to professional and legal responsibilities in pharmacy practice. They will use ethical frameworks to make decisions, honor personal values, and take responsibility for the outcomes of those decisions.

PO8: Individual and Team Work

Graduates will function effectively both as individuals and as active members or leaders in healthcare teams and multidisciplinary settings. They will be able to assume a participatory or lead role in an organization’s planning and execution of projects.

PO9: Communication

Graduates will be able to communicate effectively with the pharmaceutical scientific community, workforce, and the public. They will have the ability to comprehend and write effective reports, make clear presentations, and document their work accurately.

PO10: Project Management and Finance

Graduates will demonstrate knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences and management principles, applying them to their work as a team member or leader. They will have effective planning, delegation, and organizational skills to manage projects and meet deadlines.

PO11: Entrepreneurship

Graduates will develop entrepreneurial skills that support the growth of the pharmaceutical industry and services. They will contribute to the economic development of the country and be prepared to take on roles that foster innovation and intellectual property.

Graduates will recognize the need for and have the ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning. They will develop an aptitude for continuous professional development, self-assessment, and using feedback to satisfy their ongoing learning needs in the context of technological change.
