Pharmaceutics

Pharmaceutics Laboratory

The Pharmaceutics Laboratory is well-equipped for the formulation and evaluation of various pharmaceutical dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, ointments, syrups, and suspensions.

Students gain practical knowledge of drug formulation, stability testing, and quality evaluation using instruments like tablet punching machines, dissolution and disintegration test apparatus, and homogenizers.

This lab helps students develop essential skills in dosage form design and industrial pharmacy through hands-on learning and experimentation.

Objectives of the Pharmaceutics Laboratory

  • To provide practical knowledge of formulation and evaluation of different pharmaceutical dosage forms.

  • To develop skills in handling and operating pharmaceutical instruments.

  • To understand the principles of drug stability, compatibility, and quality control.

  • To bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and industrial applications.

  • To prepare students for research and development in the pharmaceutical field.

Our Focus Areas

  • Formulation and development of various pharmaceutical dosage forms.

  • Study of drug-excipient compatibility and stability.

  • Evaluation of dissolution, disintegration, and bioavailability parameters.

  • Application of modern techniques in drug delivery systems.

  • Quality assurance and standardization of pharmaceutical products.
